The Bride

bethhorse_rs.JPG

I was born in Massachusetts and moved to the North Hills of Pittsburgh when I was 7. I stayed there with my family until I graduated from NH High in 1999. After that I remained true to the 'burgh while attending college at Carnegie Mellon. And that is where I met Anthony! After graduating from CMU, I spent 2 years in grad school at Georgia Tech before moving to the heart of downtown Cleveland so Anthony and I could be together. I currently work at L'Oreal as a process engineer, which provides great perks (like the company store!).  And in Feb of 2007, after a year and a half of living downtown, Anthony and I bought our first home in the ultra-suburbian Twinsburg, OH.
Most of my time recently has been spent setting up the house, planning the wedding, and making wine - a hobby that Anthony and I have started together (Anthony edit - we're going to start a winery some day!  Look for and enjoy wines from Santaguida Cellars!)

The Groom

I knew that Beth and I would get married the second that I saw her.  It’s a long story (you can ask us at the wedding), but I can’t believe that it was mere coincidence that brought us together!  Now it’s hard to believe that we’ll have been together for eight years when we get married – time flies!

Speaking of that, I was born 28 years ago in McKeesport PA.  In early childhood my family moved to Mount Lebanon where I grew up and went to High School.  Beth and I met at Carnegie Mellon University where I majored in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering (none of which I directly use today!).  Like a typical college student I really didn’t want to go to work right away, so I moved to Cleveland to get my Master’s degree at Case Western Reserve University (Masters of Engineering Management).

Finally I had to enter the working world.  I joined a rotational development program with Eaton Corporation and spent two years living in various places throughout the Midwest (if only Eaton were a Caribbean-based company…).  I am currently an Enterprise Architect (not a title that most know - so if you're interested, I'll fill you in at the wedding - but it's definitely an awesome job) with Eaton, in my fifth year with the company.

I’m pretty excited about this whole wedding thing.  I bought the ring about two months before the engagement and had to constantly fight the urge to just ask Beth to marry me, waiting for that perfect moment.  Now we need to wait for May to roll around before we take the next step, but that’s okay – I’m enjoying every minute!
